Happy St. Valentine’s Day to all our blog
readers! Love is most definitely in the air aboard RRS James Cook, with kissing
albatrosses photographed off the starboard side and a seriously smoochy menu
lovingly prepared by our chef and galley staff (see photos). We have also,
finally, been loving the weather. Clear blue skies and light winds have given
the first uninterrupted day of CTD operations for a day, and the Southampton
VMP has been in the water for two deep casts.
