The winds and waves have gradually subsided
during the morning and we have been able to start work again, first with the
deployment of the CTD and most recently with our first full-depth
High-Resolution Profiler cast. We expect the conditions to continue to improve
over the next couple of days enabling us to continue eastwards along the North
Scotia Ridge towards South Georgia. Everyone is very relieved to be working
once again!
